HEALTH WORDS Generally no one can predict when someone will experience a dream while sleeping. But it was a dream that comes can be influenced by food intake. What food is it?
Professor Tore Nielsen, director of the University of Montreal's Dream and Nightmares Laboratory conducted a study to investigate the relationship between food and a dream experienced by a person.
Most dreams occur when a person's eyes are already in constant motion like he was watching something. This stage usually occurs approximately 70-90 minutes after falling asleep.
Note there are some foods that can trigger a person to experience a good dream or commonly called the 'lucid nutrition ", as quoted from Livestrong, Wednesday (05/10/2011), namely:
1. cheese
Eating cheese before bed is believed to lead to a better dream. Milena Corredig from the University of Guelph in Canada said that the cheese can produce chemicals that send signals to the brain.
2. milk
Consumption of milk does not just help you sleep soundly but also trigger a better dream. This is because the amino acids in dairy products are good nutrients for the nervous system that makes the mind stay active. But the milk should not consume sweet milk, because sugar can make a person more difficult to sleep.
3. Orange juice or other fresh fruit
Orange juice or other fruit juice has been known to induce lucid dreams, real and memorable. For that try to drink a glass of juice or about 250 ml, but do not overdo it because it can make a person continue to wake up at night because he wanted to urinate so that disrupt sleep.
In addition to foods that can trigger a dream, some foods and beverages should not be consumed before bed because it can make people nightmares like caffeine beverages and foods that are difficult to digest.
